Libragirl

www.libragirl.com

The Libragirl project is part of a major online marketing initiative to build the equity of the total Libra brand. With a focus on the "youth market", the site was developed to provide a secure and exclusive communication channel for young girls experiencing their first few periods and beyond.

Challenge

Acumentum's challenge was to redevelop a visually and technically outdated site in order to:

  • Increase brand awareness among the target audience
  • Increase brand visibility throughout the site
  • Create a positive predisposition towards the brand amongst the target audience
  • Demonstrate Libra's competency in the medium
  • Provide a 'trusted source' of information for girls about their ability to cope with periods and puberty
  • Provide a site that is visually appealing, but can be scaled and updated for continual currency at minimal cost.

Solution

WebBuilder2™ is a total website solution, which provides a flexible administration system to dynamically author information pages, rich media content, forms and surveys. The easy to use publishing process provides a tailored workflow to assign responsibilities for authoring and reviewing content. Acumentum's Libragirl solution, based on WebBuilder2™, provided the functionality to allow users to:

  • "Become a Libragirl", by subscribing to the members only section of the website
  • Personalise their user profile by choosing an avatar that can be "dressed" with latest fashion, shoes, and accessories
  • Play online games
  • Listen to, and vote for their favourite artists through the integration of a Flash™ based music player
  • View the latest Television Commercials
  • Plan their week using their own private online diary
  • Ask a qualified nurse questions that they maybe too embarrassed to share with others
  • Request a "starter kit", processed by an Inventory Management System

The WebBuilder2™ system has also been designed to provide the scalability needed to meet the demands of Libra's ever growing membership base, and inclusion of modules plan for future development.
