Interaction Analysis
Designing online applications that are both useful and usable is our misson. Our “user centric” design process places people before technology. Through interaction analyses, we aim to understand the current processes used by the target audience and then design the technology to match.
Our experience in creating learning applications has given us a deep understanding of how people think, act and learn when using computers. Our focus on usability has taught us that usability is not intrinsic; but rather that it is built from the very core of the application itself. Different groups of people behave in different ways, so we design applications based on the user’s daily tasks and workplace behaviour, to maximise usability and increase the value that a user gets.
Interaction analysis is central to our methodology and has proven to produce outstanding applications that are user centric and allow users to achieve their tasks effectively and efficiently.
Our Process
Our Interaction Analysis is based on the premise that it’s easier to design a system to suit the end-user, than it is to ask or train them to change their behaviour.
Our research into an organisation’s interaction behaviour covers the following topics:
- Understanding the organisation goals and key performance indicators
- Conducting in-depth investigation into the target audience, outline their work patterns and routine behaviour
- Understanding how the application will bring value to the target audience, this improves adoption
- Gathering documentation and information on mental models and sets of terminology, to ensure the application speaks the user language
- Information Architecture
The interaction analysis process can be applied to different user groups within the same organisation (staff, customers) who use the same application but have a different mind-set and approach.
